Dear HCAT Members,
I hope this message finds you well! As we move into the final stretch of the year, I
wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates from the Healthcare
Administrators of Tidewater (HCAT). Our chapter has been incredibly active over the
past few months, and I’m so proud of all the energy and engagement from our
members. Below are a few key highlights and opportunities to get involved:
1. Now Recruiting 2026 Board Members
HCAT is currently recruiting new board members for the 2026 calendar year! We have openings for both Member-at-Large positions and Officer roles. Serving on the board is a great way to deepen your engagement with ACHE, build your leadership skills, and contribute to the continued success of our local chapter.
If you’re interested, please complete the short interest form using the link below:

Deadline to submit: Noon on November 1st.
If you have any questions or want to learn more about what serving on the board entails, don’t hesitate to reach out.
2. Educational Events Recap
This quarter, HCAT has hosted several outstanding professional development sessions:
- August 13: Our large in-person event at The Founders Inn featured robust speaker panels covering strategic planning and the wellbeing of healthcare professionals.
- September 23: We also held a virtual Healthcare Compliance Panel, bringing together insightful leaders to discuss best practices and evolving trends in compliance.
A huge thank-you to all who attended and to the speakers and volunteers who made these events possible!
3. Networking & Community Engagement
Our Closing Cocktails: Happy Hour series continued this summer with well-attended events in June and October. These informal gatherings have been a wonderful opportunity for members to connect, unwind, and build lasting professional relationships.

As always, I encourage you to visit our HCAT Website for updates on upcoming programs and events. If you’re looking to get more involved—whether through volunteering, joining a committee, or attending future events—please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
Finally, I’d like to extend a special thank-you to our chapter sponsors Bon Secours, CHKD, Riverside Health, and Sentara for their ongoing support and partnership. Their commitment helps make our educational and networking programs possible throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to advancing healthcare
leadership in our region. I look forward to seeing many of you at one of our future
events!
Warm regards,
William Keyt
