Dr. Kimberly Tansey has worked as the Senior Data Analyst/Health System Specialist at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Tidewater Market since December 2021. Prior to joining DHA, Dr. Tansey worked as an Army civilian for 13 years, holding positions as a staff Physical Therapist at LRMC, Deputy Chief of Physical Therapy at Fort Eustis, Department of Surgery Administrative Officer at BAMC, and Surgical Optimization Officer and Data Analyst at BAMC and the San Antonio Market. She has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2014 and Board Certified in Healthcare Management (FACHE) since 2016. She has held the position of Chair of Advancement on the Army Regent’s Advisory Council since 2018, and previously held various roles on the South Texas Chapter as the Director of Student Affairs, Director of Philanthropy and Community Relations, and as Vice-President. She currently is a member-at-large on the Healthcare Administrators of Tidewater Board of Directors and is a member of the national ACHE Higher Education Committee.
Dr. Tansey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University, and a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. Outside of her work with the Department of Defense, Dr. Tansey is an adjunct professor with the College of Health Care Professions and continues active patient care through a concierge physical therapy practice. When she isn’t working, she enjoys baking, volunteering within her community, and spending time with her dogs and family.
