DESCRIPTION:HCAT has the opportunity to partner with United Way’s Day of Caring on September 15th for 3.5 volunteer hours!\n\n\nWe have 3 volunteer slots open to help paint office space at the People in Need (PIN) Ministry located in Virginia Beach as part of United Way’s Day of Caring event. All materials will be provided. Note\, there are only 3 spots available to assist with painting. \nWhat is United Way’s Day of Caring? \nDay of Caring is our community’s largest day of the year for volunteering and recognized as the official kickoff for United Way of the Virginia Peninsula’s annual giving campaign. Day of Caring brings together hundreds of volunteers from across the Virginia Peninsula to create a positive impact for nonprofits and human service providers helping our neighbors in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who lives or works in our community to gain a deeper understanding of local needs.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Healthcare Administrators of Tidewater (HCAT) as we partner with the Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation to beautify our community!\n\n\nJoin the Healthcare Administrators of Tidewater (HCAT) as we partner with the Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation for this volunteer event on Saturday\, May 27th\, from 10am-1pm. We will be maintaining the trails in this 142-acre preserve\, helping to preserve and cultivate a vital resource to enhance the air quality and health access within our Hampton Roads community. \nWe recommend long pants and closed toe shoes for this event. Work gloves will be provided\, but you are welcome to bring your own! Please monitor the weather to decide if you need a light jacket on the day of the event. \nWe can support up to 20 volunteers on this day. Teenagers are welcome to attend with parent participation only\, but we do not recommend children under 12 for this work. \nRegistration is required\, and a sign-in sheet will be present on the day of the event to confirm attendance. DESCRIPTION:HCAT members and friends- come support the Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank by volunteering to help our community!\n\n\n*Note: updated time of this event due to venue conflict* \nThe Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank supports so many families and aids in improving the health and wellbeing of members of our local community.  We need at least 20-25 people to support this event! \nWe have space reserviced for us at a larger\, off-site location. Plan to meet at 1600 Elbow Road\, Chesapeake\, VA 22320 (at the intersection of Elbow Road and Centerville Turnpike) on the campus of the New Creation Renewal Center and Hope Church.  Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing\, as we will be packing and sorting items and standing most of the time. \nWhat to expect: There is a short training period at the beginning\, so please be on time (1pm!). We will have a “Wrapping” session where we bundle diapers in packs of 25. \nWho: Please be an ACHE member\, potential member\, or attend with an ACHE member for this event.  Teenage children can attend with their guardian if they are participants.  For Fellows of ACHE or those who are submitting their application for Fellow\, this can count as one of your required volunteer activities. \nQuestions about this event?
