William Keyt is an Administrative Fellow at Sentara Health. In this role, William works with leaders across Sentara to learn the intricacies of what it takes to run an integrated, multi-state health care delivery system. His fellowship consists of rotations in hospital operations, medical group management, health plans, and corporate functions. Keyt first started out his healthcare journey as a volunteer working in the emergency departments of Sentara Martha Jefferson and Sentara Obici Hospital. While in graduate school, Keyt worked as an administrative intern under the executive team at Sentara Obici. He then worked at the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA) as a policy and program intern where he served on various teams such as advocacy, patient safety, quality, finance, and workforce development. During his time at VHHA, William was responsible for leading statewide efforts to improve patient and family experience.
William is a local of Hampton Roads and grew up in the City of Suffolk. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Virginia, where he completed both his undergraduate degree and Master of Public Health.
